Spooky Halloween time is right around the corner! We are currently learning multiplication, so I have created some fun multiplication stations to match the Halloween vibe! I love to bring some seasonal fun into my classroom. The students are always so excited for the holidays, so I like to tap in on that energy…. but rechannel it for math class!
This post will highlight 4 math stations I use around Halloween time. Each station supports fluency of basic multiplication facts. These are perfect in my third-grade classroom.
Station 1: Printables & Independent Work
Stations are all about hands-on activities and group work, but I always like to have one calm, chill station! In this station, students work on an independent activity and take a break from the group work. I have several different options for this, either a color by number, a Halloween joke, or a maze.
Station 2: Cup Stacking
This station is so much fun. All you need is a stack of cups that are prelabeled with numbers. Students use the puzzle mats to choose the correct cups for each stack. This is a station that I typically have students do with me or another adult. They work together to build the correct cup stack, then let me check it before starting the next puzzle. Each picture on the puzzle mat has a different way of representing a multiplication fact. There are arrays, pictures, missing factors, etc.
Add to the Halloween theme by using orange, green, or purple cups. I’ve also linked some Halloween party cups below!

These cups are pefect if you are having a Spooky Glow day! If you need more information about a Glow Day classroom transformation, check out this blog post where I highlight some of my favorite Glow Day items. I also write about my favorite games in this post.
Station 3: Multiplication Puzzle
This station is more challenging than it may seem. It’s perfect for teamwork, or teacher station activity. Students correctly match multiplication problems and answers to form a square puzzle. Once they have finished, they glue the pieces onto the puzzle mat. To keep it interesting, there are several answers that do not have a correct multiplication fact. These pieces go along the edges.
Station 4: Multiplication Sorting Activity
Students find the matches to each set of multiplication facts. Each set contains 4 cards: a word problem, a math fact, an array, and a picture.
Make this activity 10x more fun by laminating the cards and sticking them inside a bucket of Halloween Orbeez. Pro Tip: Put several large trash bags down on the floor under this station. Also, challenge your students to pick up all the loose Orbeez that fall on the floor. They love this!
Those are some of my favorite Halloween multiplication stations. I have used these with success in my third-grade classroom. I can’t wait to see your favorite stations! If you use any of these, tag me on Instagram!
