The first spin gives their elf an activity and the second spin tells how long it took the elf to complete the activity. Students add up the elapsed time from each spin to see who can get their elf to 6:00pm first. The second activity is 8 elapsed time word problems and an answer key.

6. Snowman Sam Reading Incentive

I am always looking for a way to keep my students reading over the holiday break. Usually I create my own boring reading log. But, not this year! I am using this cute free Snowman Sam reading incentive. This download contains a printable bookmark for students to record 6 books they read over the holiday break. Once they finish, they return the slip and are entered into a fun prize drawing. To get your students fired up about this.. have them help brainstorm what the fun prize will be!

7. Holiday Drawing Activities

This activity is just for FUN! You’ll need a paper plate for each of your students. There are two drawing activities included in the download, so you’ll use both sides of the plate. Students put the plate on their head and follow your instructions to create a picture. They can’t look at the plate until you finished reading all of the directions. I love their reactions when they finally see their drawings. So much fun! If you happen to use this in your holiday party, tag me on instagram (@diggingdeepertpt) so I can see their work!
